It feels good to start sharing my nail creations with you guys again! Yay! I had a lot of fun with this week’s mani and I’m super excited to share it 🙂 This was the first time I tried stamping my nails! It was harder than I expected!
For this mani, I used two coats of Julep‘s Something Blue (yeah, it’s supposed to be a wedding color…oh well!) as a base, topped with one coat of their March birthstone polish, Aretha! Next, I used Konad’s special white polish and their m65 plate for the design!
Aretha is a little disappointing as a birthstone polish. I was born in March, and my birthstone is aquamarine. This topcoat is a very pretty holographic flakie polish, but it’s not actually blue once you put it on (even though it looks blue in the bottle). It looks like Julep made a new aquamarine polish this year, but it’s a little meh imo. Too little too late.
Also, guys, stamping is hard. I was only able to get three nails on both hands to look decent (all of the fingers except my index finger in the first pic!). Do you want to see my other hand? Are you sure? Ok, here you go…
-_- Not my best work. I learned a lot about stamping though! I figured out how much polish to put on the design, how much pressure to use when scraping and transferring, how to roll the stamp when you transfer, how much your nails need to dry before you stamp….I will be a pro for my next stamping adventure, trust me. 😉
Until next time!
