If anyone still reads here, I wanted to let you know that I’m leaving Femmes in STEM to start a new blog. Femmes in STEM was meant to be a blog about holding onto femininity in the highly male-oriented workplace that is research science. Since then, however, I’ve come to realize that the highly male-oriented workplace that is research science is not for me, and I have moved on, and thus felt like the blog had run its course. The other problem is that the only thing I really fell in love with writing about was perfume. That’s why I decided to start Perfume and Sweet Talk: I want to be able to write about what I love without distracting from the main mission of my blog. At Perfume and Sweet Talk, you can expect reviews of (mostly) indie fragrances, with a possible smattering of whatever else may be on my mind. If that sounds like a joy to you, then you’re always welcome there.
Hi, I’m blogging this super late as usual! I have even gotten another package since I got these aaaaahhhh. These beauties are from Falloween, which of course is a combo of Fall and Halloween. They’re long gone by now because I’m bad at doing things on time! But here’s a review for posterity, they’ll probably be back next year!
Look at these beauties! Descriptions under the cut 🙂
Today I’m continuing my Journey in Aging! Today I’m talking some more about the greatest perfume season: autumn! There are lots in this one because Haus of Gloi‘s fall collection is huuuuuge, so here we go…
Hey everyone! Today I’m covering yet another sixteen92 collection, this one for Halloween. Sixteen92 really shines in the fall I think, some of their best scents come out then. These ones are inspired by and named after different haunted places all over the world, and the full sized bottles have a little Ouija planchette on them, which is p cute!
I also got a full size of Cotton Mather from the fall collection, isn’t it beautiful?
Hi everyone! Today I’ll be talking about a recent order I got from Fortune Cookie Soap. Fortune Cookie Soap is a fun, quirky company named after their flagship product: a soap bar that’s shaped like a fortune cookie! They have a lot of other fun products, too. They even offer a quarterly subscription box that I used to be subscribed to. I recently made a big order because I ran out of their hand sanitizer, which is my faaavorite. I’m really excited to share what I got with you! Let’s go!
Guys, GUYS. I am obsessed with Darling Clandestine. I haven’t gushed about these perfumes on my blog in far too long! (like I literally haven’t in a year and a half?? How does that happen?) Today I’ll be reviewing some perfumes from the Early Autumn collection; they aren’t up anymore but DC scents often come back with little warning! Keep your eyes peeled!
Lookit those beautiful smellbabies *heart eyes*
Happy autumn! It’s time for cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes, and wearing boots and scarves. If only the weather would cooperate (global warming! *shakes fist*). The other thing I love about fall, though, is the perfume! Autumn perfumes are my absolute favorites, if you couldn’t tell by my sixteen92 Autumn Collection review.
Today I’ll be talking about Haus of Gloi’s autumn collection! Or, a very small part of it. I only got two new perfumes this year, because I had collected the rest in years past (#gottacatchemall). I’ll be re-reviewing those soon (and maybe reviewing some of them for the first time?), as part of my Journey in Aging series.
