I have a quick-ish review for you today of a new-ish indie makeup company, Limnit Lipsticks! Limnit (pronounced like “limit”) specializes in bright, unique lipstick colors! Their colors are great because they are bright and edgy but a teensy bit muted, so they’re super wearable. Right now they only offer mini pots, but I hear that soon there will be bullet lipsticks! I picked up a few little pots during an awesome sale a month or so ago and I love them!
I can’t believe it’s already April! As much as I love March (My birthday month! The first day of spring!), I’m excited about the rising temperatures and everything else April has to bring. 😉
I have a quick confession: I am NOT great at picking out my favorite things. For one, I change my mind a lot, and for two, I like a LOT of things! How am I supposed to pick on favorite of anything?? But my favorite things for a single month? Totally doable! I’ve seen several blogs do monthly favorite posts, and I think that they are so fun. So with that in mind, here’s a little slice of my life, my favorite things from the month of March! Continue reading
Today I’m sharing my first review for Shiro Cosmetics. Shiro is an indie makeup company that sells eye, lip and face products, and is very well-loved in the indie community. I bought some eyeshadow colors from their “Super Effective” collection, which is inspired by Pokemon! The Super Effective collection is full of super bright colors. I picked out an eight colored rainbow, so I can do crazy rainbow eyes for Pride this summer, hehe. I got all full sizes because I wanted the Pokeball art on top! I also got 3 very generous samples. The samples are also all bright, rainbowey eyeshadow colors, which I thought was awesome! It was very thoughtful of them. Continue reading
Another Life’s Entropy review for you today! This time I’m taking a look at the eye shadows in their Animal Sanctuary collection. Animal Sanctuary is a mostly neutral collection inspired by animal puns, and it has a lot of fun colors!
I ordered samples of the Animal Sanctuary collection, but since I made a big order, I got a random full-sized shadow, Monkey Business! This picture shows the sample and full size side-by-side so you can really see the size difference.
Today I’m gonna share a bunch of ah-MAZ-ing lip products from Life’s Entropy Cosmetics. Life’s Entropy sells liquid lipstick called Lip Theories in a multitude of colors, and–get this–the samples come in microcentrifuge tubes!
Today I’m reviewing more goodies from Geek Chic Cosmetics! I’ll be sharing their lip products that I own. GCC sells two types of lip product: Joysticks (lipstick) and Geek Gloss (lip gloss). I have picked up several of each over the last few months.
I’d like to apologize right away for the pictures, I’m still trying to figure out how to get the best pictures of product on my lips. Also, I decided to swatch them all at once, but my skin is VERY sensitive and it got all irritated and red around my mouth by the time I was done, AND my lips got super dry and chapped.
Also, spoiler alert but….I’m not in love with these products, and I probably won’t be buying more lip products from Geek Chic. Read on to see why…
I have eyeshadow swatches from Geek Chic Cosmetics to share with you today! During their Black Friday sale I picked up samples of all of their eyeshadows in the Ever In Your Favor collection (inspired by The Hunger Games!!), as well as their color of the month, The Troubles. I’ll also share a shade I owned already, Lady of the Golden Wood (inspired by Galadriel from LotR).
Ever In Your Favor
I did these swatches in my new lightbox, so they’re the best quality, hehe.
